Like most activity groups we are always in need of help. This doesn’t necessarily mean help with running the sections (although this is always welcome); we have admin vacancies and individual one off needs such as help with the marquee that we rent out to raise funds; transporting kids & kit to and from camps; assisting with the hotdog stall that we run at the St. Lawrence Fair.
We also welcome adults that have specialist skills that the Scouts can benefit from such as first aid / crafts / orienteering / archery / shooting / kayaking and climbing.
If becoming a Scouting Volunteer, Activity Instructor or Board of Trustee Member appeals to you, it can be a great opportunity to give yourself a new challenge, gain new qualifications as well as inspire young people whilst enjoying yourself.
All scouting volunteers are given full training and are DBS checked, complete safety, safeguarding and GDPR training.
If you feel you would like to help or just find out more e-mail us at: enquires@hurstpierpointscouts.co.uk
Help run activities with our brilliant young people or help behind the scenes... help from home or come along and get stuck in! There's lots of ways to get involved - can you help us to teach young people skills for life?
Would you like the chance to go camping, climbing, potholing, make a difference in the community while helping to prepare young people with skills for life? As a scouting volunteer you will do all of this and more, using your skills and learning new ones.
